Recruiting updates

Published by Peter under BYU football, BYU sports, recruiting

BYU has more stringent criteria when it comes to what players are offered a football scholarship. Players are expected to be upstanding citizens, academically applied, Division 1 athletes, willing to live by the honor code, willing to represent the LDS church and many other unique traits. This offseason has been another interesting one in recruiting as the crop of LDS talent is better than ever, led by Manti Te’o.

This is really a strange story and it will be interesting to see what the investigation uncovers.

Beyond Belief

We’ll stay on top of this story as it unfolds and post any developments.

On the Road with Cruiser: For the Strength of the Youth

Published by Cruiser under BYU football, BYU sports, recruiting

The program just keeps getting stronger. Consecutive 11-2 seasons have led to one of the best recruiting classes ever. Although time will pass the final judgment on the incoming class of ‘08, there are some things we know about these players already. Several of them were intensely recruited by some of the major programs in the country, and a number of them already have personal connections to the team. Here’s a brief list of some of the athletes and interesting facts about them:
